ELCO High School Raider Band Camp
Monday - Friday
July 22-26, 2019
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Everyone is important! Everyone has his or her own drill spot for the show.
We need you at camp, so make every possible effort to be there.
You will need to practice your music.
Not just practice it at band camp or rehearsals, but on your own at home.
If we start on time, we finish on time!
EAT BREAKFAST BEFORE YOU GET HERE. A good start to any day is a good meal!
WEAR SUNSCREEN and/or SUN BLOCK, and bring extra with you. Burns are painful! Sunglasses and a hat would be beneficial for the protection of your eyes and scalp. The sun can be intense at times, this is after all summer.
Bring with you a thermos or a container with a clear, cold beverage. Ice water will be provided, as well as drinks and a snack at the break times. If you bring a drink, sodas are not a good choice. You may want to bring along a light snack for yourself, i.e. a granola bar, pretzels, etc. The band boosters will be providing fresh fruit and assorted snacks as well.
Students are to remain at the high school for lunch. Roaming the building is unacceptable.
Rest and relax, that way you are prepared for the afternoon.
If you drive, please park behind the building in the parking lot.
Do not park out front along the building or on the lawn.
Please have your parents/guardians fill out the medical form and return it by the
first day of band camp. We need it on file for reference if you become sick or injured.
Section leaders are chosen and given responsibility for a purpose. They have the
knowledge and ability to help you. Ask them for help, follow their lead, and watch their example.
Band Camp serves multiple purposes, none of the least is to allow all of us the
opportunity to work together. Camp may be as fun and exciting as you make it!
Don’t let the fun and the enjoyment of the experience slip by you.
