2012 Field Show
Ladies and Gentleman, the ELCO High School Raider Band proudly presents its 2012 field show entitled “Roadtrip 2012.”
We open our show with "Caravan," a jazz standard composed by Juan Tizol and first performed by Duke Ellington in 1936;
followed by "Granada," a Mexican song written in 1932 by Agustín Lara about the Spanish city of Granada. Our drum line is featured
next in the music of "El Loco Rojo Toro" (the crazy, red, bull) written by Mr. Mark Doll our percussion instructor.
We close our show with "Malagueña." Originally the sixth movement of the Suite Andalucia by Ernesto Lecuona,
who also provided it with Spanish lyrics, the song has since become a popular, jazz, marching band, and drum corps standard.
The band is led by Drum Majors Jacob Bernat and Ben Spitler. Section leaders include: Julie Knauss, Juliana Knight, Jeremy Bernat,
Holly Smith, Hannah Ficco, Adam Tobias, Phil Kline, Chris Simion, Delaney Houtz, Rebecca Lynch, Christine Wolfe, Brad Hartman, and Travis Houtz.
The 2012 Raider Band staff includes:
Percussion Instructor, Mr. Mark Doll; Marching Instructors Mr. Kristofer Miller, Mr. Jeremy Ulrich, Mr. Charles Troxell,
and Mr. Seth Moyer; our Assistant Director Mr. Craig DeVore; and our Band Director Mr. Kenneth M. Krause.
The Raider Band would like to thank our Band Boosters, the ELCO School Board, Faculty, Staff, and Administration for all of their support.
