Raider Jazz Band
The ELCO High School Band is inclusive of concert, marching, and jazz formats.
Our system of "band is band" offers our students the opportunity to experience
multiple facets of instrumental performance while demonstrating school and
community spirit, musicianship, and social responsibility without having to
sacrifice academic, arts, athletic, or community involvement.
The primary goal of the Raider Jazz Band is to further introduce the styles and varieties of jazz literature at the highest level; while also giving them the knowledge and abilities to continue in music past high school. The band has performed with guest artists, with other local jazz bands, and in conjunction with the ELCO High School Show Choir, and is also invited to perform at community events, school functions, dinner dances, and civic celebrations throughout the year. The Jazz Lab Band performs annually at the ELCO High School
"Celebrate the Arts" Festival held each spring at ELCO High School.
